YOGA, NIDRA & PHILOSOPHY

50HR Module: In-Person

with Lorraine Taylor & Simone MacKay

May 30th - June 4th 2024
in Gironde, France

A teacher training to nourish, restore and nurture.

This training prepares you to lead Yoga Nidra classes while exploring a soft,
feminine approach to Asana, Pranayama, Meditation and Tantric Philosophy.
Guided by two senior teachers who have more than 60 years of experience combined.

Embark on a captivating journey as you immerse yourself in inspiring Yoga and Nidra practices, explore Tantric philosophy, engage in enriching discussions and learn the art of guiding transformative Yoga Nidra sessions through hands-on workshops.

Elevate your role as a yoga leader, therapist, coach, counselor, or holistic health professional by embracing the profound practice of Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep). Supported by contemporary neuroscience, this practice fosters mental, physical, and emotional restoration, easing stress, healing trauma and reconnecting you to inner peace.

Rooted in major Yoga Nidra lineages —I Am Yoga Nidra, iRest, and Total Yoga Nidra—and weaving a unique synthesis of them all, our non-dogmatic approach offers a contemporary exploration of this ancient philosophy. Equip yourself with the skills to teach Yoga Nidra, release deep tension and illuminate your path, providing a potent tool for personal and professional development. This course enriches your coaching or teaching with therapeutic, energetic and cognitive tools to reduce stress and accelerate growth.

Morning sessions with Lorraine will guide you into the depths of Yoga asana, Pranayama, and Meditation with a feminine approach. Dive into discussions on the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, an ancient text. We will be using a very poetic translation of this book which helps to bring the teachings into your daily life. And what’s beautiful is that beyond the teachings, you will have space to embrace moments of self-reflection—a chance to contemplate, be inspired and compassionately review your life in a supportive space.

This in-person course builds on preparatory video and audio content for a transformative 50-hour journey which can be taken as a stand-alone or part of our 300-hour program. Earn a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) certificate upon completion.
