Sacred Journeys Into Yoga TTC

Sacred Journeys Into Yoga For Women is a 200 Hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training led by Lorraine and a wonderful team of guest teachers. The course is fully registered with Yoga Alliance, the largest governing body for teachers in today’s world. The course is also open to advanced students who do not wish to take certification but wish to dive deep into the world of a yogini for a month.

The training is a four-week immersion into the depths and beauty of Yoga, bringing together the traditions of Jnana, Bhakti, Tantra, Raja, and Hatha Yoga in a creative way. As well as learning a large portion of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga primary series with a graceful and feminine approach, students learn to open their hearts through devotional kirtan, sacred dance, self enquiry and authentic tantra.

Many women choose to embark on this month-long retreat in order to fully immerse themselves in Yoga and take benefit of the transformative power of the practice. Choosing to do your 200-hour training is offering yourself an exquisite container in which to learn, be held, and dive deep into the world of the Yogini.

Throughout the course, you will work with the Great Wisdom Goddesses (Mahavidyas) which originate from the Indian Tantric tradition and gain understanding of how they can help on your path of Awakening. In the mornings, you will develop your own personal practice (sadhana) and learn how to teach a modified Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga class to beginners/intermediate students while delving into the subtle world of Pranayama.

The afternoons will be spent exploring heart-focused creative practices such as devotional kirtan and sacred dance and discovering ancient texts, philosophy, anatomy, and other topics. And at the end of each day, a simple meditation or yoga nidra will allow you to drop deep into the soft tender silence of your being before you curl up for a good night’s sleep.

The course is designed to empower you to go and teach the sacred! It contains all the necessary information you need to become a unique Yoga teacher… and so much more. Sacred Journeys Into Yoga For Women helps you reconnect with your feminine essence while balancing both feminine and masculine energies within. This is an intense journey into spiritual transformation and a direct experience that can not be learnt from any book. It brings together all of the essential groundwork that is necessary to become a successful teacher and a powerful Yogini in today’s world.
